Turn by turn navigation comes to Android with CoPilot Live
by Andy Betts, posted Monday 29 June 2009
ALK has announced that its award-winning CoPilot Live navigation software is now available on the Android platform through the Android Market.
CoPilot Live brings the very latest developments in turn-by-turn GPS navigation technology and real-time travel information to the Android platform. Users can benefit from detailed voice-guided turn instructions and cutting-edge 3D mapping, helping them to find their way wherever they go.
In common with the Windows Mobile based and Symbian product, CoPilot’s premium quality digital street maps are stored on the phone, rather than relying on mobile Internet connectivity for per-trip data. Additional map regions can also be downloaded directly to the device.
The software is compatible with all currently-available Android phones, including the newly announced HTC Hero.
CoPilot Live is available to download now, priced £25.99 for the UK and Ireland maps £59.99 for all Europe.
