Mio have taken the wraps off three new satnave devices. They will be known in the UK as the Navman Spirit range, and elsewhere around the world under the existing Moov label. All three will be available to buy from later this month.
Each of the units comes with built-in traffic reporting. The Navman Spirit 300 features 3.5 inch screen, 3D junction views, text-to-speech, walking mode and integrated travel books for a small selection of major cities.
The Navman Spirit 500 adds a 4.7″ widescreen and Google Local Search via Bluetooth; while the top-end Navman Spirit Flat has a ’super-flat’ 4.7″ display, NavPix photo navigation, FM transmitter, plus video and MP3 player.
The company will also be launching the Mio Spirit TV range in the summer, with 4.7″ and 7″ models featuring integrated digital TV tuner – with the top end model having an estimated price of around £350. A spokesperson for the company has also hinted to us that a Windows Mobile-powered satnav phone might also be in the offing soon.
